Laon Medi Selected for Government Startup Growth Technology Development Program to Advance AI-based Dental Orthodontic Software

Laon Medi Inc. (CEO: Seok-joong Lee) has been selected for the government’s Startup Growth Technology Development Program with its project to develop “AI-based CAD software for dental digital image auto-registration.”
This national R&D program aims to support the innovative growth of technology-based startups, with a total budget of KRW 52.8 billion allocated to 880 companies in 2024.
Laon Medi was chosen in the bio-healthcare sector and will receive up to KRW 120 million in R&D funding over the next year.
With this support, Laon Medi will collaborate with Yonsei University College of Dentistry and local orthodontic specialists to complete the development of next-generation CAD software capable of AI-powered digital image auto-registration for orthodontics.
Laon Medi stated, “By working closely with university hospitals and local clinic directors, we will enhance the technical completeness of our solution and launch globally competitive, innovative products for the international market.”
